in like a lion...

...out like a lamb. March. The month is almost over and I feel like it just flew on by. With the impact of tax season and the final few weeks of Jr. Miss (a scholarship program I volunteer with) we barely had time to sit and breathe. And never together. The house had been neglected. My kitchen missed me. And the laundry was piled way, way too high. But now things are starting to calm down. Finally.

Which means more time for this....

and this!...

new pillows to welcome spring. made by me. with the help of these two sassy seamstresses. and the moral support of this girl. sorry to monopolize your time ladies. i swear next time, you will be blown away by my cutting skills.

I am SO impressed at your job well done. You did great. Seriously, in no time at all you will be whipping out quilts to be auctioned off at the MCC sale. :) Or maybe even an apron for those nights when you want to cook a spicy dinner!!! :)

Just remember, we use the rotary cutter, we don't hack away at the cloth with the scissors. :)

I have to admit the highlight of the evening was when neither of us could figure out or visualize how to cut the cloth for a good 10 minutes. How did we BOTH graduate college? Seriously...

When I left last night I was so sad until you mentioned our hot d.a.t.e next saturday and then I was SO excited the whole drive home. PB and HG better watch their back, I've got a list to take care off!

Wait... did you rearrange the furniture? Did you switch the couch and the chair?

I totally rearranged the furniture!
You are so observant. You totally rocked college. My room can only accommodate about two different layouts so I figured we could try the other for awhile. Not sure if I like it yet

The pillows look great! Did you buy yourself some more of that fabric? That pillow needs a friend.
Sewing was fun, we'll have to do it again sometime. Plus, according to Olive's thinking, you can't even attempt a spicy dinner without an apron, so you'll be eating a lot of bland meals in the meantime :) So now you can add that project to your sewing to do list.

i am SO impressed. however, i think it's safe to say i'm alone in my distaste for fabric stores and overwhelming craft projects. maybe this creative bug is contagious and i'll catch it...
