We are done! Here are the results of our labor. I dont have a fancy camera, so the pics are pretty...um, bright. Dont worry, the white is not that blinding in real life and the hardware is more bronze, less black. The only thing left is to hang the upper molding and finally make the curtain. We love the result, it really opens up our room and creates a lighter, more updated look.
Here is the before, when we first toured the house...
After taking down wallpaper, painting the walls, installing new appliances, and painting the cabinets....
Hopefully we will work on the flooring in the new year!

OMG! Your kitchen is to die for!! I am amazed at your decorating abilities. Just so you know... I've been following your blog a ton and watching your progression with your house. Can you come decorate my baby's room for me?
Oh and I LOVE your kitchen aid. I regret registering for the silver one now.
I love it!!! It looks so much better!
It looks so awesome!!! I love it! I mean, the open air look without the doors was good too, but... :) I love the knobs and pulls they look great! Yeah for all your progress! You are inspiring me to get some stuff done! :)
Hope JM was good tonight!!!! I missed not being there! :(
I LOVE it! Can't wait to see it in real life! PS - CHRISTIE I KNOW YOU WILL READ THIS - ADD ME TO YOUR BLOG PUNK!
Great before and after shots! It is amazing what a can of paint and alot of elbow grease can accomplish. Congratulations and a job well done!
Looks great! The kitchen cabinets look much better.

looks freaking adorable! i love your mixer and pot there! i'm glad you found a way to use that space that had us so perplexed in the beginning. and the countertops and back splash even match :) nice work
Great work. Now when Peter watches Dodger games you can sit by his side and admire your fantastic transformation, such an improved view!
Yes, I too have Kitchen Aid envy. However, I don't even have a silver one...
Your kitchen looks amazing!. That was a lot of cabinets to paint...
I think Mark and I need to come see you, and your house, in person!
Thank you guys! Your nice words make the whole process so much more worth it! Dont expect any more painting from us anytime soon, though :)
Cindy--We would love to see you both!
Wow Toni,
Very nice. I have been wanting to paint my kitchen cabinets white but wasn't sure how it would look, but judging from the looks of yours it really opens up and brightens the room. I as well have green tile in my kitchen, but it's a much brighter (yuckier) green and I have a lot more of it than you do.
Thanks for the inspiration and I too am in love with your Kitchen Aid. (I wanted the pink one).
Take care,
Alicia Sugden
